Currently No. 3

Today's Currently post doesn't require a lot of photos so I thought I'd share some of my favorite glimpses of summer.

Blackberry lemonade is the most gorgeous drink.

He looks for deer. I look for sunsets. We both come home happy.

Noticed this little guy on an evening walk.

Vienna: "Mom, our faces are sun kissed."

Wild Blackberries + Homemade Granola + Honey Greek Yogurt from Aldi = Perfection

Reading...

a novel by Kate Morton. I recently had two different people recommend Kate Morton to me. I've been told she can weave a tale like no one else. She has an immense collection of work so I just picked one based on some Goodreads reviews. I'm enjoying it so far.

Listening...

to the quiet that has returned since the cicadas' departure. We live in the mountains and for a few weeks, the noise was deafening! Their constant racket made me appreciate something as ordinary as silence.

Thinking...

about self control. I'm preparing to teach a Bible study lesson and I'm trying to look honestly at all the ways self control (or the lack thereof) shows up in my own life.

Living...

in the middle. I love hopeful beginnings and beautiful endings. But that's not where I spend the majority of my days. I live in the middle, with all its mess and grime and questions. I'm trying to let that be okay.

Loving...

these earbuds. They are a knock off of AirPods and the best thirty dollars I've spent in a while. The sound quality is great and they don't try to fall out of your ear. I love that I don't have to carry my phone with me if I want to listen to something while I'm working.

Tell me something that would be on your Currently list today. :)

  1. I've been a lurker, never commenting, but I enjoy your blog and decided if I hope for you to continue sharing I should also.
After a tumultuous pregnancy and six weeks postpartum I am currently climbing out of my own valley. This evening we picked up our van from the garage and I was driving home alone while our 6 blessings were in the other vehicle with Daddy. What a blessed refreshing drive, the sky was beautiful and I could actually notice. I might actually live again!
