Hope in the Dark - Abraham
God gave him the promise in the dark
Because that's when stars shine the brightest.
My five year old thinks there were at least nine thousand stars out that night.
But even if there had only been one,
Abraham still would have asked, "How?"
Because after a lifetime of hoping, praying, trying,
He had accepted his fate.
But, is anything too hard for the Lord?
Is it?
Abraham got his answer when Sarah's weathered hands
Stroked a newborn cheek.
A son named Laughter,
A hope for tomorrow.
And when God asked,
Will you sacrifice your hope?
Your joy and your laughter?
Abraham didn't ask, "How?"
Because he already knew the answer.
The Lord will provide.
A piece of music for your week.
Would you share this series with a friend who is walking through dark things?
